18-30 Group Gathering
31 August, 19:00 - 21:00
You’re warmly invited to join members of the 18-30 Group to learn more about bipolar and to spend some social time together. We offer a friendly and safe environment with opportunities for peer support. Your friends, family and carers are very welcome if they’re 18-30 years old too.
Topic: Welfare and disability benefits
When: 7:00pm on Monday, 31 August
Where: Zoom Meeting ID 918-6028-7707
Please email hello @lothianbipolargroup.org.uk to ask for the meeting password.
We’ll be taking a brief look at some of the welfare and social security benefits available to people living with a disability or long-term health condition. The three benefits we’ll focus on are:
- Universal Credit (including council tax reduction and local housing allowance)
- Personal Independence Payment
- Disabled Student Allowance
Please note that the welfare system can be extremely complex to navigate. Group members and facilitators are not experts and we recommend people approach a welfare rights adviser to talk about their individual circumstances.
