Help redefine mental health support in Edinburgh!

The way mental health services are provided in Edinburgh is about to change. Edinburgh’s Health and Social Care Partnership (NHS Lothian and City of Edinburgh Council) has introduced a new strategy called Thrive Edinburgh, which will lead to a significant change to the way people access mental health services

What is this workshop about?

Thrive Edinburgh  are currently working to create a new approach to mental health so that people get the support they need.   They want to gather your ideas on how things could be improved and understand that people with lived experience and carers will know better than anyone else about what the new approach should look like, so they really want to hear from you.

The workshop will have two parts (you can join both parts – or join us from lunch onwards!)

PART 1 – 11.00 – 13.00
In Part one we will try out and develop some of the conversation tools we could use to make the new model work well. We will try them out in pairs or 3s and gather your ideas on what this should look like.
Lunch will be provided from 1pm – 1.30pm and please let them know if you have any dietary requirements

PART 2  13.30 – 15.00
In Part 2 they will explore the different way that people will be able to contribute to the new services (e.g people supporting other people).  They will then consider what the brand of the new service will be and come up with some ideas about what it should be called!
