Self-Management Training (18-30 Group)

Many of us have undertaken bipolar self-management training and we strongly recommend group members attend this course being run specifically for young adults.
Bipolar Scotland offers self-management training to people with lived experience of bipolar. The course equips participants with knowledge, information and insights to manage their condition, to maintain a healthy equilibrium and eliminate the worst highs and lowest lows of bipolar. The training will also introduce participants to lifestyle changes they can make which can help improve their quality of life and flag up the importance of warning signs and triggers.
The course involves group discussions about the various ways in which bipolar disorder can affect quality of life and all participants should feel comfortable about the prospect of taking part in these discussions and disclosing aspects of their life experience. All information shared within the room will remain confidential and will not be discussed or disclosed outside the room.
The course is free to Bipolar Scotland members (or people willing to join) and runs over 2.5 days. To be considered for a place on the course you must be able to participate on all three dates. This course is specifically aimed at young adults from our group (and possibly young adults across Scotland, depending on numbers).
The course dates are 17, 18 March and 14 April 2018 at The Royal Scots Club in central Edinburgh. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please contact us asap if you’d like more information or to reserve a place.
